Since 4 March 1977 Clanmil has been providing high quality, affordable homes for people who need them.
Where we are today
Today we own and manage over 6,000 homes for over 12,200 people across Northern Ireland - families, older people and those who need a bit of support to live well.
With an annual turnover of almost £57.1m and property valued at around £0.75bn we are one of Northern Ireland’s largest housing associations, employing 300+ people.
Where we’re going
Our ambitious Opportunity and Impact strategy will see us provide at least 1,500 new sustainable homes across all types and tenures by 2031.
We need to make sure we have sufficient funds to deliver these new homes and to continue keeping existing homes up to date.

Regulatory Inspections
The Department for Communities (DfC) is the Regulatory Authority for registered housing associations in Northern Ireland. The Housing Regulation Branch within DfC undertakes this regulation activity on behalf of the Department and seeks to protect the interests of tenants, homeless people and others who use the services provided by registered housing associations.
We have been awarded a rating of 2 - meets requirements but needs to improve in some areas - by DfC for our operations in 2023/24. We are committed to demonstrating the improvements needed to restore the previous rating of 1.
