Fire Safety Group

What is the Fire Safety Group?

The Fire Safety Group is a permanent working group in Clanmil that looks at different aspects of how we look after fire safety. It involves staff from all Clanmil’s departments and three tenant representatives from both general needs’ properties and sheltered schemes. This could mean the group would review how we design the fire safety of our new buildings, how we test and manage alarms or improve building safety and most importantly how fire safety feels for the people who live in our homes.

The group's aim is to provide safety information that tenants may want to know, what concerns them and when we communicate are we highlighting the right safety messages for our tenants.

How does the Fire Safety Group work?

The Fire Safety Group meets usually every 2 months, or sometimes more frequently.

The group influences Clanmil policies, reviews servicing arrangements, fire incidents and promotes information and good practice in our buildings to keep them as safe as possible.
