Clanmil Brings Community Together for Health and Wellbeing Event Posted on 26 October 2026
Clanmil’s Health, Safety and Wellbeing event was a great success yesterday, bringing people together at Harryville Community Centre in Ballymena for a day of advice, information and support.
The event provided an opportunity for customers of all over Northern Ireland to meet a wide range of local organisations and services offering practical advice on health, safety, wellbeing and independent living. Clanmil colleagues were also on hand to provide support and guidance on money matters.
The Mayor of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, Councillor Tom Gordon, visited the event and had the opportunity to meet attendees and representatives from the various organisations.
A wide range of exhibitors and support services were represented on the day. Mid and East Antrim Borough Council provided information on community activities, crime prevention and home safety. Other exhibitors included the Northern Health and Social Care Trust’s Falls Team and Community Support; Mid and East Antrim Agewell Partnership and its DOTS service; Amy from The Peak of Perfection, offering therapies to support attendees wellbeing; the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) and Crime Prevention; the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS), providing fire safety advice; and AWARE, offering mental health support.
As well as accessing valuable information and advice, those attending enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with friends, meet representatives from local services and spend time with Clanmil colleagues in a friendly and supportive environment.
Yvonne Rock, one of Clanmil’s Scheme Coordinators, said:
“Events like this are a great way to bring people together and make it easier for our customers to access advice, information and support that can make a real difference to everyday life. We are very grateful to all the organisations and individuals who gave their time to attend and share their expertise. It was wonderful to see everyone engaging with the exhibitors, enjoying the day and finding out more about the services available to support them in their community.”
Eliza Martin, Clanmil’s Community Investment and Fundraising Manager, added:
