Clanmil Housing Wins Cybersecurity Project of the Year at Belfast Telegraph IT Awards 2025 Posted on 24 November 2025

Clanmil Housing has been recognised for its commitment to strengthening digital resilience, winning Cybersecurity Project of the Year at the Belfast Telegraph IT Awards 2025. The accolade, sponsored by eir evo, was presented during the ceremony in November, celebrating excellence and innovation across the sector.
The award highlights Clanmil’s extensive efforts over the past year to enhance its cybersecurity posture in response to an increasingly complex threat landscape. The ICT team implemented 24/7 system monitoring, developed rapid incident-response capabilities, and embedded proactive risk-management processes across its operations.
A key element of the project was organisation-wide engagement. All colleagues received customised cyber-training designed to build a culture of shared responsibility for security. This was supported by automated reporting tools that ensure key risks and performance indicators remain visible and actively managed.
Peter Grimley, Assistant Director of IT & Digital Change at Clanmil, said the recognition reflects the dedication and collaboration of the ICT team throughout the year.
“Cybersecurity has become one of the most dynamic and demanding areas of our work, and this award is a fantastic endorsement of the significant effort that has gone into strengthening Clanmil’s resilience,” he said. “Staying ahead of an increasingly fast-moving threat landscape required not only new tools, but new ways of working. Bringing every colleague with us through tailored training has been essential.
“I’m incredibly proud of the team and grateful for the support from across the organisation, our Executive Team, and the Programme Board. This award shows that our approach is working.”
The win marks a major milestone for Clanmil as it continues to evolve its digital-security strategy to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing environment.
