Clanmil Housing picked up three awards at the 2025 Chartered Institute of Housing’s All Ireland Awards which took place in Belfast on 21 February. This year’s awards received a total of 83 nominations across 12 categories. 

These were the winning entries:  

Housing Hero (tenant award) - Elishia Mullan 

This award recognised the fantastic contribution Clanmil customer Elishia Mullan has made to customer engagement in Clanmil, and highlighted her dedication to ensuring the voices of people living in social housing are heard.  

Excellence in Communication: Keeping Clanmil homes safe and comfortable

This multi-channel information campaign about condensation, damp and mould, was recognised for sharing straightforward, relevant advice for Clanmil customers, and signposting them to further sources of help.  

Excellence in Housing Innovation: Boxing classes are a big hit for Clanmil customers  

Clanmil worked with boxing coach Joe Harvey to keep older customers fit, healthy and happy with boxing classes in independent living schemes and Housing with Care homes.  

Carol McTaggart, Clanmil Group Chief Executive and Chair of CIH Northern Ireland said:  

“We were honoured to have been recognized in three categories at this year’s All-Ireland Housing Awards, and I was delighted that Clanmil customer Elishia Mullan won the Housing Hero award. She is dedicated to customer engagement and has worked hard to highlight important issues on social housing. It was wonderful to join housing colleagues at this annual event which recognizes the dedication and innovation of housing organisations and individuals throughout the island of Ireland.” 

Clanmil’s Community Investment team were shortlisted in the Working in Partnership category submitted by Radius Housing, along with Ark and Arbour, for the Festival of Life project in Newcastle. Alloa Street, a new development in north Belfast, was among the finalists in the Best Housing Development category.
